Why this edition matters for Beninese businesses
The themes chosen are not distant speculation: they describe projects already under way in Benin. Data governance refers to the framework set by the Personal Data Protection Authority, which any company holding a customer file must now respect. Digital government echoes the national platforms already in service — MonEntreprise.bj for business creation, service-public.bj for procedures, AHILIDO for checking companies (read our article).

As for cybersecurity, it is becoming a matter for business leaders as mobile payments, e-invoicing and online storage become widespread in SMEs. A company that takes payments by mobile money and keeps its accounts in the cloud now has a digital risk to manage, just like a cash-flow risk.
How to make the most of it
For a digital entrepreneur or digital services provider, ADEX’s main value lies less in the conferences than in the B2B area and exhibition stands. Three days in the presence of thirty-five international speakers and four hundred participants offer a density of qualified contacts that is hard to reproduce otherwise.
For the support organisations accredited by Sèmè City, particularly those focused on digital, the event offers useful regional visibility at a time when several of them are looking to broaden their partner base (see the list of accredited organisations).
