Read the investor charter (read before subscribing)

1. Nature of the service

The Akèda investor network is an information and introduction service. Akèda Média is neither an investment adviser, nor a licensed financial intermediary, nor a fund manager. No content of the network constitutes a personal investment recommendation.

2. What the subscription covers

The subscription gives access to published files, to full files under a confidentiality agreement, to the private group and to introductions to founders. It gives no right to any exclusivity, any minimum number of files or any performance.

3. Scope of the checks

Our newsroom checks what can be checked and publishes its reservations. This check is journalistic : it is neither an audit, nor due diligence, nor an accounting or legal certification. The figures published are those supplied by the company, cross-checked as far as possible.

4. Your own due diligence

You remain the sole judge of the opportunity and the risk. You undertake to carry out your own checks before any commitment and to continue discussions with your lawyer and your financial adviser, who alone are qualified to secure the structuring, guarantees and drafting of the deeds.

5. Risk of loss

Investing in an unlisted company carries a risk of total loss of capital, a liquidity risk and a dilution risk. Past performance is never a guide to future results.

6. Limitation of liability

Akèda guarantees neither the success, nor the profitability, nor the security of an investment. It expressly disclaims all liability in the event of a bad investment, partial or total loss of the sums committed, theft, misappropriation or disappearance of funds, failure, insolvency or fraud by the company, non-performance of commitments made between the parties, or any dispute arising after the introduction.

Akèda never holds the parties’ funds and is not involved in any financial flow. Akèda’s liability, should it be engaged, would be limited to the amount of the subscription paid for the current year.

7. Confidentiality

Full files are strictly confidential. Any redistribution, publication or use for purposes other than assessing the opportunity leads to immediate exclusion from the network, without refund, and makes you liable to the company concerned.

8. Conflicts of interest

Akèda receives no commission on transactions. When a file is linked to an advertiser or partner of the media, this is stated explicitly.

9. Termination

The subscription is annual and ends on its expiry date, with no automatic renewal. It can be cancelled at any time; sums already paid are not refunded pro rata.

10. Governing law

This charter is governed by Beninese law. Any dispute will be the subject of an attempt at amicable settlement before any legal action before the competent courts of Cotonou.
